O-shot

The O-Shot is a minimally invasive procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to rejuvenate the tissues of the clitoris and vagina. PRP is a concentrated form of your own blood that contains growth factors and other proteins that can help to improve blood flow, collagen production, and tissue repair.

The O-Shot can help to improve a woman’s sexual function in a number of ways, including:

  • Increasing sexual desire
  • Enhancing orgasm intensity
  • Reducing vaginal dryness
  • Improving urinary incontinence

How it works:

The O-Shot is a simple and quick procedure that is performed at PURE Med Spa.

Step 1: Blood Draw

A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm using a needle and syringe. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the other blood cells. The PRP is the concentrated portion of the blood that contains growth factors and other proteins.

Step 2: Injection

The PRP is injected into the clitoris and vagina using a small needle, after a numbing agent has been applied.

No but you may use a FSA for this treatment. Our front desk staff can support you with any paperwork needs.

The O-Shot is a very safe procedure with few risks. The most common side effects are mild discomfort and bruising. In rare cases, there may be bleeding or infection. Overall, there are minimal risks.

It is important to see a qualified healthcare provider who is experienced in performing this procedure. This is why we have a qualified team of physicians, nurses and NP’s at our offices performing all procedures.

Typically one. You can repeat the treatment in 3 months, or annually depending on your level of satisfaction.

There are not many, but there are a few. You would not be a candidate for any PRP procedure if:

  • You have an active, blood born cancer
  • If you have platelet dysfunction
  • If you have an active infection at the site of injection
  • If you are pregnant
  • If you are taking any blood thinner medications

There are a few simple requirements around medication and over the counter medications:

  • You have to wait 1 month for a PRP procedure after taking steroids
  • You have to wait weeks after regularly taking any NSAIDS
  • You have to be off Aspirin for 1 week before your procedure (unless it is baby aspirin)

The O-Shot procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to complete, and people are able to resume their normal activities soon after. We advise clients not to shower for 8 hours after the procedure.

Not much! We suggest showering in the morning, so that you are clean in the area. That’s it!

Thank you! We will get back to you as soon as possible.
